This is a recertification course for current American Heart Association ACLS Providers. It reviews cardiac rhythm interpretation, drug pharmacology, airway management, patient assessment, and treatment options for patients suffering cardiac events. Current upgrades and advances in cardiac care are presented. Students are required to participate in hands on manikin performance stations, interactive case management scenarios, and pass a written examination with a passing score of 84% or greater. Successful completion of this course awards the student a two- year ACLS Provider Card.Prior to attending the class, a pre-test must be taken and completed. That test is located on the AHA website. A link to that website is provided in the front of the Provider’s manual. That manual must accompany the student to class. The student must print off a copy of their pre-test certificate and bring it to class with them.
